On May 13th 2017, the first project - ,,Discover Samshvilde” was submitted by the ,,International Archaeological Centre’’ of the University of Georgia”. In the frame of the project an archaeological tour was arranged to the historical complex of Samshvlde. The participants of the tour were representatives of Dip Corp in Georgia and various international organizations:

·         His excellence, Mr. Sisero Martins Garsia - Ambassador of Brazil in Georgia; 

·         Her excellence, Mrs. Fabienne Seydoux - Consul of Switzerland in Georgia;

·         His excellence, Mr. Albert Kloos - Consul of Netherlands in Georgia;

·         Her excellence, Mrs. Dessislava Ivanova-Kozleva - Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria in Georgia;

·         Mr. Reza Phuri - Emissary of Iran in Georgia;

·         Mrs. Antje Fischer and Mr. Hans-Joachim Lipp – Deutche Gesellschaft fur Internatonalse Zusammenarbait (GIZ);

·         Mr. Kieran Dalton – Senior Mission Analytical Capability Analyst. EUMM;

·         Mr. Alvaro Higueras - Professor of Archaeology; Simon Fraser University;

·         Mrs. Kirstin Funke – German Archaeologist and Anthropologist;

After visiting Samshvilde sightseeings the participants attended the presentation about scientific results of Samshvilde Archaeological Expedition and were familiar to newly discovered materials from the site.
